Compassionate Heart

In the world today, very few people have a compassionate heart.  We see all the negativity in the media, on the TV and even in books that is turning our minds and hearts.  You cannot even look at the news without seeing something awful.  It seems that as the weather becomes cooler for half of the world, so does the increase in crime.  There are TV shows and movies that I have never watched that are now being cancelled.  The truth is they were so violent they weren’t worth watching.  We need more comedies in our everyday lives to brighten our days. In many of the Facetime videos people are horrific to homeless men and women. They need a compassionate heart because without warning they could suddenly lose their income, home, vehicle and then they would be begging on the streets. There are people who do seem to be an ice cube on the inside.  They don’t care about anything or anyone unless it affects them. The old saying “Greed of money is the root of all evil,” is not far off. Many people misinterpret it to say, “Money is the root of all evil.” In today’s society we all need money but greed is evil.  It always ends up hurting people. Most individuals believe rich people are terrible, however, stop and think how they would behave if they were suddenly in their shoes. A compassionate heart goes a long way in life and all the characters in the Good Gus series had one. The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones. Hard copies, personally autographed, are available through our website www.goodgusbooks.com along with past blogs for your reading enjoyment. Digitizing for all the books is coming soon!
