Unrequited Love

There are many people in life who travel through with unrequited love.  They meet someone they are sure is the one.  That person may care for them for a while but then move on. Once they do the man or woman cannot get past it.  If the forever love moves on to another person but remains friends with them it is even worse.  They have no chance of getting over them.  In the movie “The Holiday” Iris cannot get past her boyfriend, Jasper, primarily because he continues to partially romance her and ask for favors.  However, once she is put on the spot at work when his engagement is announced, Iris finally realized she needed to make a change. She switched places with a woman from Los Angeles, Amanda. Her boyfriend, Ethan, had been cheating on her. She decided she  needed a change as well.   They both met better men and, Miles, who worked with Amanada, finally convinced Iris to get past her unrequited love.  There are often people in life who truly stay in touch with another person because of their love for them.  It doesn’t matter if the person has moved away, married another person, or barely associated with them.  As hard as they try, they simply can’t change their feelings. It is sad because they could have a good life.  Often in many TV shows and movies you see people meet when their spouses have past.  Usually it is a school reunion or simply a chance encounter.  They realize that they both loved each other all these years.  I saw one where the man and woman met and three days later married.  They were very happy. They realized all that they had missed for decades.  They both had married and had adult children. The children had to accept it. Do you know anyone who has unrequited love for another?
