Are you as tired as I am of the gross ads that confront us on a daily basis? Let’s talk about foot and toe fungus. I seriously do not wish to see it yet there it is big as life every single day. There has to be a better way for companies to sell their products other than graphic pictures. If a person has the fungus they know and spend time finding a treatment to cure it. Let’s look at dental ads next. Do you really want to see people’s teeth and gums? I sure don’t. Yet they display the full mouths along with occasionally rotted teeth. Anyone has this problem already knows and the rest of the population is not interested in looking at it. Then there are the poop commercials and ads. Those are disgusting. Do you really want to see someone doing their business in the bathroom? It’s bad enough for us let alone see a person even if it is a cartoon. Can you imagine how many people are turned off by all these repulsive adverts? Then there are the hemorhoid commercials that if you happen to be eating alone and watching the TV they always appear at dinner time. They are not inviting to try the products due to the strong vocabulary and occasional pictures. We all have various conditions at a variety of times. It doesn’t mean that we are too stupid to find a solution. It is clear that the companies wish to sell their products. I just think they could do it in a better manner. Plus let’s not forget the ads that gurantee instant results. It is mostly for anti-aging, but still instant? It is not possible. Then, last but not least, the weight loss ads. They guarantee instant success and tremendous weight loss overnight. Again, impossible. However, people fall for these ads with hopes that they are true. Sorry, one more. The instant get rich quick. Say these seven words, nine words, twenty words, prayer, affirmations, or listen to a variety of podcasts all guaranteeing overnight wealth. If that were true, no one would work, be on the dole, homeless, etc. Yet it just goes on and on. How do you feel about all of the above ads?
