Assuming

Why are the celebrities and news people assuming all types of things without first obtaining the facts? The women on ‘The View” were assuming the worst about Kate Middleton without even knowing the real truth. Now they are regretting it deeply when they should have kept quiet until they knew what was happening. The collapse of the Baltimore bridge was blamed for too many immigrants along with cyber attacks by a news person again without checking the facts.  The truth is that they don’t know the exact reason yet but are trying to determine it.  The assuming and then speaking without knowing the truth is foolish. The people who make the statements look and sound ridiculous and are embarrassed after the fact. The old saying “Think before you speak,” is still applicable today. It is too bad people do not heed that advice.  Take a look at Harry and Meghan. They need to learn to be quiet. This really all boils down to people thining they know everything and are sure they are right when in reality they are completely wrong. It is also a sign of disrespect.  If a reporter, talk show host, or even a regular person cannot look for the facts before speaking it just proves that they are the types that believe they know evrything. It must be nice! We all need to learn to treat each other decently. No one should be assuming anything until they know that what they are thinking is accurate. When we were young we were punished if we thought that way or disrespected anyone. In this life today, it has all changed.  There are so many videos on Facebook with students treating their teachers like trash. They are rude, throw things, speak out of turn and in general totally disrespectful. One of the reasons I love the movie about Ron Clark is that he taught his class to respect everyone including themselves. How do you feel about so much assuming?
