Many people have illusions about their life. They do not wish to face their reality so they make up stories, have wishful thinking, and thoughts that are not even remotely close to their everyday lives. Often most people live dreary lives. They commute back and forth to work everyday driving the same roads, eating at the same lunch place and have the same conversations that lead them to feel bored everyday. Once they return home, their routine is the same. They make dinner or buy take away. The do laundry, watch TV, play video games and if they have children or dogs feed them and make sure the dogs are exercised. Their lives become so dull that wishful thinking and illusions help them to cope. The best way to make a difference in their lives is to make changes. Spice up the routines, take different routes, try to work at home a few days a week, anything that changes your thinking patterns and boredum. I have worked at home for many years so my routines vary on a daily basis. There are people who do work at home who have set hours and must be available during those periods. If they wanted to see a doctor, dentist, drop their vehicle for repair and even just take a break they must obtain permission. The only difference for them is that they do not commute and often wear lounge pants and a nice shirt for zoom meetings. There are also people who have illusions about their love life. They often believe everything is perfect and lie to themselves rather than face reality. So many times, and particularly and Facetime videos, primarily the women are suprised when the husband announces divorce when she comes home from work one day. I still love the videos where the wives win the lottery and end up keeping all the money. Those are my favorite. Do you have illusions about your life?
