Do Nothing

There are individuals who sit around and complain and do nothing.  They wish, hope that think things will turn around in their lives and when they don’t they wonder why. They don’t take the initiative to look for a new job, start a small business, take a course for a new career, anything but waste time with moaning and groaning.  How many people do you know simply sit around watching TV, playing video games or trolling the internet?  I have worked since I was eight years old.  To stop now would be impossible. Not only due to family circumstances but inflation and the lack of work would make my days too difficult.  Even when I had children, I worked at home. It worked out much better for me and them.  It is more important to move forward in life.  The hoping and wishing group cannot see beyond their own negativity.  They blame everything and everyone.  It simply does not change a thing.  Many of the YouTube coaches continually remind people to stop thinking negative thoughts and what they are lacking in life.  If you constantly believe that nothing is going to change then you are absolutely correct.  It will not because you believe that.  People always want to win the lottery, become successful, yet it can’t occur without effort.  Changing thought patterns is a start but you need to do more than that. There is a fair amount of free lance work available.  As unemployment is down that means people are finding ways to start a new income.  Even starting a small home business takes the willingness and ability to use your talents.  I have written thirty-four books and not all have sold.  I have not given up but just keep finding new ways to interest people.  It’s a fair amount of work but I think it is worth it. How do you feel about it? The Good Gus Series is available online at Kindle, Nook and Waterstones.
